Dear Piedmont Patrons and Participants,
Having travelled to Piedmont many times; we have made a MIGHTY return trip full of new experiences and the greatest hits we adored from the past.We again work with our travel partner - She lives in Piedmont and takes personal care of us.
Why Piedmont? Having a world to visit - we miss Piedmont the most and the value we receive is superior. I would love to revisit BURGUNDY but a similar trip would cost double in price. I think you will be blown away by the charm, the love, the sites the smells and of course the taste of Piedmont. Truffle session (weather permitting) should be in full affect and don’t be surprised to wake up with snow on the ground its just an amazing time to visit.
My favorite hotel in Piedmont will be the focus and we do not intend to change hotels - staying six nights in one location, you will come to love.

DAY 1 | Sunday, November 28th: Arrival in Barolo Region
Check in to Corte Gondina in La Morra, Langhe area.
Welcome aperitif/wine tasting by tour guide who will introduce you the area, the wines and the week’s programme.
Walk together to the village centre for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant/trattoria* (Included) to get to know the local traditional cuisine… and perhaps a little Italian.
DAY 2 | Monday, November 29th: Introduction to the “King of Wines”
Meet your tour guide and driver at Hotel Corte Gondina after breakfast at the hotel. Depart with private minibus for your Barolo tasting day.
Visit to 1st Barolo-producer from List.
Lunch at a local restaurant possibly in Barolo-Castiglione Falletto area (TBC).
Visit to 2nd Barolo-producer from List.
Back to hotel Corte Gondina, evening and dinner at leisure, you can walk to a number of different quality of restaurants and Ian welcomes you to join him.
DAY 3 | Tuesday, November 30th: Hazelnuts & Barolo
Start the day with breakfast at the hotel, then the quaint village of Monforte d’Alba where you will enjoy a sampling of artisanal hazelnut-based products at a local family shop in town (hazelnut cream, cookies, chocolates, hazelnut cake, roasted hazelnuts, etc.).
A great winery in Monforte d’Alba will follow. Visit the cellars and enjoy a tapas style lunch where their wines will be paired with local cheese, salami and family recipes.
In the afternoon, visit to 2nd Winery and then back to hotel Corte Gondina.
Enjoy dinner at your leisure.
Day 4 | Wednesday, December 1st: World Famous White Truffles of Piedmont, Barbaresco
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then head out for a hike with the Truffle Hunters. Then drink wine at another legendary producer in Barbaresco.
Discover everything about truffles from the man that wrote the book about them: local traditions, how the truffles grow, overview of truffle varieties and characteristics. A guided tour with his dog will follow in the natural truffle ground, so that you may experience a real “truffle hunt*” along a scenic trail. Finish with a truffle tasting! You will enjoy wine and brunch with white truffle sampling.
Dinner will be organized with additional time for shopping and enjoying the medieval town of Alba.
DAY 5 | Thursday, December 2nd: Piedmontese Cooking Class
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and then we will head to a fun cooking class as we work together and cook our lunch. Food is one of the highlights of Piedmontese culture. Tempting Piedmontese products are second to none, a wide range of antipasti, vitello tonnato, bagna caoda (typical garlic and anchovy sauce), fresh hand-made pastas like tajarin, ravioli plin, rich meat courses like brasato al Barolo, desserts like hazelnut cake served with zabajone and so much more.
After our cooking class we will visit another incredible winery.
Indulge in dinner at your leisure.
DAY 6 | Friday, December 3rd: Barolo Grand Finale & Farewell Dinner
Start the day with breakfast in the hotel. After that we will visit two wineries to enjoy some the of best wines the region has to offer.
Enjoy leisure time with time for souvenirs, gift shopping, relaxation, taking a stroll, snacks, and coffee!
Then off to our FAREWELL dinner - included in the price of the trip.
DAY 7 | Saturday, December 4th: Departure
